Core-Aeration is a necessity for compacted soils as well as the following benefits.
- De-Thatches
- Aides in Maximizing Nutrient Intake
- Builds Stronger Root system
- Improves the Overall Health of the grass
What is Core Aeration?
It is the removal of small plugs of soil which will allow water and nutrients to get deeper in the soil. During the rainy season it allows air to penetrate and dry up excess moisture. During drought seasons it allows watering to penetrate easier.
When is Core Aeration Necessary?
“Aeration is the process of increasing the soil’s air content. An ideal soil will contain 50% air spaces, of which 25% will be air. Turf soil should be aerated at least once a year on heavy compacted or clay soils. This is especially true of high traffic areas or if there is a problem with moss”. Over Seeding
Over seeding introduces seed varieties into a lawn, this can assist your lawn thickening up which aids in defending it against, disease, drought, shady conditions, and heavy traffic. By aerating first it allows the seeds to fall into the holes and gives it a nice fresh bed to start out in. The overall outcome is a more attractive HEALTHY lawn
We offer both slit-seeding and broadcast applications depending on the situation of the lawn.
